The Encounter Staff chose to give Player of the Week to all the loyal players of Encounter who made Friday nights the best nights in AO. Encounter wouldn't have been as much fun without your supporting of it. The very last fights were great ones and you can see which side won which mission in the Battles section. Or you can see the Map section which has all the planets that both sides strove to take control of. In final words for this Encounter Website, we the Encounter Staff would just like to say thank you to all of the OPs who have worked very hard in keeping the missions the way they were meant to be played. And a special thank you goes to these OPs for busting their butts for making Encounter so successful, Chainsaw, Beltigre, Talos, Gunny, Ariel, and Jade. This is a special thanks from myself Saturn[K] to all the Encounter Staff for working hard to keep the Encounter going even when things got ugly. So Thank you all for everything and you never know, you just might find a new yet different Encounter scenario come back to give the AO Community that fun and challenging competition they so greatly love. Lastly I would like to end this Encounter Site with saying this. Keep close with the friends you have made from AO because there is none other like them, they are one of a kind. Take care all and ill see you in the games. |

Remember last week and how the marines won all those missions? Well, so did the aliens... Laws of natural equilibrium proved true again as the aliens won all six battles, taking back a fair share of territory the marines thought they had won. You can see the tug of war played out at either the Battles section, or the Map section. The marines did have something of an excuse though, as the aliens equaled or surpassed the number of marines in all missions. And not just any aliens, no sir.. these were the elite old-school aliens, making a comeback before AO is shut down for good. This is why the Player of the Week award goes to the entire alien team for this week. Despite daunting odds, the Encounter alien team makes victory after victory and earns it every step of the way. This week especially, the aliens stuck together as a team and called attention to the cooperation that makes the marines' advance so difficult. It was a team effort that made this week's alien victories possible, so it is only fair that the award goes to the entire team. As for the marines, the award goes to a new marine to the POTW lineup, W^A^L^T, who played through the entire night with only the grenade launcher, but used it more effectively than I have seen in two years. So here's to you, W^A^L^T, for your astounding accuracy and your bravery to use the slowest weapon with the smallest ammo capacity in the game. I wouldn't. |

There was no Player of the Week for either species. There will be one this Friday for sure so no worry's. You definitely want to see all 7 of the wins by marines in the Battles section. Or you can check out the Planets and see the Marines took back 4 of them under the Map section. |

This weeks Player of the Week for Marine goes to Chaos[DR] for his mass whooping of the tush <S> Throughout the night he kept a continuos threat to the aliens. For Aliens Player of the Week goes to <TEV>Shadows who just a couple weeks ago won it as Marine. Guess he just wanted to show he is good at both species. If you want to see who won which missions then check out the Battles section. Or if you want to go strait to see who owns what planets and how close the aliens are to conquering Earth yet again then check out the Map section. |
