Q: What is AO2:Encounter?

A: AO2:Encounter is a total conversion, also called mod, for Aliens vs Predator 2. Giving a whole new experience and game to play for FREE.

Q: When will AO2:Encounter be finished?

A: Our total conversion is an on going project. We will continue to release new versions with new features, fixes and game balance changes.

Q: Will I need AvP2 to play AO2:Encounter?

A: Yes, you will need AvP2 installed to play our mod.

Q: Will AO2:Encounter be MP, SP or both?

A: We are currently focusing on the Multi-Player part of the mod. However we have plans for developing a Sing-Player experience with the Aliens Online 2 world/theme.

Q: Why no Predators?

A: There were no predators in the original Aliens Online game and we felt the levels were not designed to have the predators in them anyway. So they are left out to focus on the Marine and Alien classes and their balance issues.

Q: What does AO2 and AO stand for?

A: They both stand for Aliens Online.

Q: Will AO2:Encounter be exactly like AO was?

A: We are designing this mod with every intention of bringing the feel of AO to our mod. However we are changing a few things and adding some of our own. For the ones that play AO we all know there was some faults about the game and we hope to improve apon those faults as well as try and make the mod as the original developers would have made it, given the technology.

Q: What happened to AO?

A: Aliens Online was taken offline on Tuesday, May 30th 2000 due to changing of distributors. Our sponsors The Kindred developed a website to remember AO by which you can visit here
